Aerobatic rating & AOPA Aerobatic Certificates

This course for the Aerobatic Rating and the "Basic Aerobatic Certificate" comprises of a minimum of eight hours dual flying and eight hours of ground briefings. It covers the aerobatic manoeuvres required to take part in Beginners class events organised by the British Aerobatic Association. The course for the "Standard Aerobatic Certificate" is for students who have successfully completed the "Basic Aerobatic Certificate" course. The course comprises of a minimum six hours dual flying and three hours of ground briefings plus directed self study. It covers the aerobatic manoeuvres required to take part in Standard class events organised by the British Aerobatic Association.

Upon completion of the training for either certificate an air test must be completed. This flight is additional to the minimum flying hours required for the course.

If you haven't tried aerobatics before why not take a forty minute or one hour trial lesson to find out if you like it. See the Trial Lessons page.

The aeroplane used for training is the Slingsby T67M Firefly.
